Inter Area Match: Alsager 5, Sunday 3 February 2013
The conditions were cold, drizzly but calm for the race, and there was a good field. The North women's team was 2nd behind the Midlands with everyone running a PB. The North men were also second despite only fielding four competitors. The clash with the Birmingham Indoors, BUCS and Dewsbury 10K had a negative impact on selection. The event was well organised, friendly and accommodating as usual. The team managers were Andrew Rodgers and Kirsten Scobie.

Race Report Fleet Half Marathon 25th March 2012.
The Inter-area race has been blessed with the addition of the Combined Services, who hosted their first road fixture at Fleet. With the absence of the South, the Combined Services have allowed us to maintain a health field.
However due to the approach of the London Marathon and the late addition of the Wilmslow Half Marathon (Inc England Champs) to the race calendar on the same day, many of the areas found sending women’s team to this fixture a challenge. The Welsh could only send one representative due to their club relays being scheduled for the same day.
With several withdrawals from the Northern women’s team and the difficulty in attracting our top female athletes due fixture congested highlighted above, we eventually saw two representatives take the trip south to Fleet. But events continued to conspire against us and eventually due to Ill health Jenny Clague had to withdraw on the day, leaving Sarah Harris (Long Eaton) to come home in 2nd place in a time of 81.14.
